Idaho Racing Commission Executive Director, Jack Baker, requested racing commissioners to revoke the license of Lariat Productions, which conducts live horse racing and simulcast operations at Les Bois Park in Boise. The request, prior to the July 22 commissionersí meeting, was made regarding complaints that Les Bois Park was not meeting financial obligations to both the Horsemenís Fund and simulcast hosts.

Lanae Jones, owner of Lariat Productions, appeared before the commission at the July 22 meeting and updated commissioners on payments recently made. The company had been behind on two $87,000 payments to the Horsemenís Fund, according to Baker, and in excess of $100,000 on monies owed to the simulcast hosts. The two late payments to the Horsemenís Fund were caught up, and one of the simulcast hosts had also been paid. Twenty-some signals are received at the track during the year.

Instead of revoking the trackís license, the commissioners responded with an order for an independent audit of Lariat Productions. Baker said he was working to contract with a firm to audit the Park.

ďAn extensive audit will take some time,Ē Baker said regarding the situation and any final resolutions to come.
