Amarillo, Texas, October 27, 2006 – All American Futurity (G1) finalists Dont Let Down and First Freeze bring the two fastest qualifying times into the $426,375 Dash For Cash Futurity (G1) at Lone Star Park on Saturday night.

Bobby Cox’s homebred Dont Let Down (Stoli-Babe On The Beach, Invisible Injun) has proven to be remarkably consistent at the Grade 1 level for trainer John Buchanan.

Dont Let Down surfaced in the trials to the Ford New Mexico Juvenile Challenge, and his time of :17.30 for 350 yards topped the qualifiers’ list. However, Cox and Buchanan passed on the finals and pointed the gelding to the All American Futurity. It turned out to be a profitable decision with Dont Let Down finishing third.

Dont Let Down won his Dash For Cash Futurity trial by an easy two lengths as the 1-2 favorite. His time of :19.802 for 400 yards was the quickest time from four trials.

First Freeze (First Down Dash-Streakin Snowlady, Mr Jess Perry) was pointed to the All American Futurity by trainer Heath Taylor and reached the finals after finishing fourth in his trial behind eventual winner No Secrets Here. The Freeze Partners-owned gelding encountered trouble in the All American and was never a factor in the outcome, finishing ninth.

A brother to 2005 All American finalist Shesnowlady, First Freeze rebounded in his Dash For Cash Futurity trial to win by one length in :19.857, the second-fastest time.
