Los Alamitos Race Course, Cypress, CA--Four-time champion jockey Joe Badilla has retired according to his agent, Tim Mowry. Badilla won practically every major stakes race in Quarter Horse racing, including the All American Futurity with A Delightful Dasher; the Champion of Champions with Whosleavingwho; and the Los Alamitos Million with Evening Snow and Kingman Kid.

Badilla, who turned 30 years old in April, won his first professional race in 1990. He had been riding at Los Alamitos since 1993. The native of Tucson, Arizona leaves the sport as one of the best Quarter Horse jockeys of all-time. His numbers back up that statement, as he finishes his career seventh all-time in wins and fourth in stakes wins at Los Alamitos. Badilla finishes his career at Los Alamitos with 1,433 wins and 111 stakes wins.
