EarthLink official Breeders' Cup Sponsor; offers Online Challenge with Top Prize of $1 Million

NTRA, Oct. 11 - The National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) and Breeders' Cup Limited have selected EarthLink (Nasdaq: ELNK) to be an Official Sponsor of the Breeders' Cup World Championships and the event's exclusive Internet Service Provider partner.

EarthLink will also serve as title sponsor for the $1,000,000 EarthLink Breeders' Cup Pick 8 Online Challenge. The Challenge, free to enter, offers fans the opportunity to win $1 million by correctly selecting the winners of all eight Breeders' Cup races.

As part of the agreement, the Atlanta-based company will receive on-site benefits including starting gate signage for the November 4 Breeders' Cup World Championships (ESPN, 12:00-7:00 p.m. ET) at Churchill Downs in Louisville, along with additional media benefits during the "Emirates Airline Countdown to the Breeders' Cup" telecast airing on October 14 (ESPN, 4:00-6:00 p.m., ET).

Fans may register for the Pick 8 Online Challenge at www.bcsweepstakes.com between now and 11:00 a.m. (ET) on Breeders' Cup Day, November 4. Once entries are drawn on November 1 for the eight Breeders' Cup races, registrants can submit their Breeders' Cup World Championships picks.

Additional prizes will be awarded to fans who do not select all eight winners, and a special "last minute" trip for two to this year's Breeders' Cup will also be awarded at random to a contestant who registers for the Challenge by October 31.
