Aurora, Colorado – Officials at Arapahoe Park have announced the addition of a live racing program on Monday August 28 to replace the lost live program on Monday August 21. Management, after meeting with the jockey colony and the Colorado Horse Racing Association (CHA), made the decision to cancel the Monday August 21 racing program. A nine-race card will be presented with a scheduled post time of 1:00 pm mt.

“We met with the CHA following Monday’s cancellation and we collectively agreed to bring back the Monday card in its entirety on the 28th,” said K. Bruce Seymore, Director of Racing Operations – Colorado for Mile High Racing and Entertainment.

“We had an open date on our schedule and that date fell right into place. The nine-race card had two nice allowance races and good size fields so it just made sense to bring the entire card back and not redraw the races. This will give our horsemen the opportunity to run prior to the closing of our meet on Labor Day (September 4).”

Arapahoe Park will conduct a thirty-nine (39) day race meet beginning on Saturday June 10, 2006. Racing will be conducted on a three-day per week schedule (Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays) and the meet will conclude on Labor Day, September 4, 2006. A special July 4th holiday card will be run on the Tuesday holiday. Post time for all racing days is set for 1:00 p.m. mt.
