Judicature looks for repeat triumph

Auburn, WA (August 10, 2006) - David and Elaine Parks and Clare and Ramer Holtan's Judicature tops a compact field of five juvenile fillies entered for Saturday's running of the $45,000 Northwest Stallion Series Knights Choice Stakes.

A daughter of Tribunal, Judicature prevailed in the Angie C. Stakes by 2 lengths when sent off at odds of 20-1. That victory gave trainer Bill Tollett his third stakes win of the meet. The conditioner also won the FSN Handicap with Spanish Highway and the Federal Way Handicap with Diamond Dollars. Judicature has been assigned post three for the 6 -furlong event and will be ridden by Ricky Frazier.

Golden Aggie Ranch's Irene's Bonus Baby has been entered in the Knights Choice Stakes by trainer Doris Harwood. The daughter of Free at Last finished second in her career debut before returning to prevail in a $40,000 maiden claiming affair on July 28. Irene's Baby Bonus has drawn the outside stall for Saturday's race and will be ridden by Hector Ventura, Jr.

Trainer Steve Bullock, who won the Knights Choice Stakes in 2002 with Gold Thunder and 1999 with Enduring Knight, will start Sparkling Tapestry in Saturday's race for the ownership of Al Adams, David Israel, and Gary and Sharon Hendricks. The daughter of Basket Weave was a powerful 4 -length winner in her career debut, a $12,500 maiden claiming race at Emerald. Kevin Radke is scheduled to ride Sparkling Tapestry who will break from post four.

Rounding out the field for the Knights Choice Stakes is The Cahill Special, also from the barn of trainer Doris Harwood, and Deep Bay, a first time starter conditioned by Howard Belvoir.
