Los Alamitos Race Course, Cypress, CA - Five Paul Jones-trainees, headed by Los Alamitos Winter Derby finalist Strawkins and local allowance winner Rousing Encore, will take on a field that includes Gene White s Real Good Man, third in the Grade 1 Ruidoso Derby, in Saturday’s Grade 1, $268,334 Rainbow Derby at Ruidoso Downs.

Approximate post time for the Rainbow Derby is 3:20 p.m.

"He's doing well," said Dwayne Sleepy Gilbreath about Real Good Man. "He doesn't like to go to the track very much, so we re just taking him out with the pony for a little exercise."

Gilbreth has won a record six Rainbow derbies.

The field to the Rainbow Futurity will see several local horsemen in action on Sunday afternoon. Trainer Paul Jones will saddle Quick Katie Streak, who will break from post one for Ramich Farms. Jockey Sam Thompson will be aboard Big Time Hero, a winner of two of four career starts. Adriannas First Down will also race in the Rainbow Futurity. He is a son of First Down Dash out of Go Adrianna and a full brother to three-time local stakes winner Adriannas Dasher.

Trainer Mike Joiner will send out Separatist Too, a son of Separatist who ran seventh in the Ruidoso Futurity. G.R. Carter will ride Separatist Too.

Complete past performance lines for the Rainbow Futurity can be found in Sunday's edition of Night Lines and they are scheduled to also appear in the West Coast edition of the Daily Racing Form.
