Los Alamitos Race Course, July 11 - Ed Burke Million Futurity finalists Tac It Like A Man, Ten Oclock Scholar and The One I Man plus Kindergarten Futurity finalists Coyote Code and Mr Premier LV are among the 77 2-year-olds that will be in action in the nine trials to the restricted Grade 1 Governor's Cup Futurity on Friday at Los Alamitos.

The horses with the 10 fastest times will return for the 350-yard final to be held as part of California Breeders Champions Night on Saturday, July 29.

The 10-race card will get underway with a field of seven maidens racing at 300 yards with first post set for 7:15 p.m.. Then the trials will get underway with every race featuring either eight or nine horse fields. While still a maiden, Double Bar S Ranch LLC's Tac It Like A Man is among the headliners after showing his talent when finishing third to fastest qualifier Blues Girl Too in the Ed Burke trials. Sent off at 32-1 odds, Tace It Like A Man returned with a huge effort in the $1,142,000 final, leading the race during the first 100 yards before running a strong fourth to the undefeated FDD Dynasty.

Trained by Jaime Gomez, Tac It Like A Man will be in action in the eighth race, which happens to be trial number seven. This heat will also feature the charismatic Coyote Code, who looked great in winning his first two races and then finished eighth in the Kindergarten final. The Separatist gelding now runs for Kolleen Ledgerwood and Roberto Dominguez. He exits a solid second place finish in his June 10 Ed Burke trial.

Grisel Farias and Loretta Loebs' The One I Am finished eighth in the Ed Burke final after running a super 3/4 length win in the trials. The One I Am is one of the quickest horses on the grounds but she never had a chance to challenge after breaking slowly in the Ed Burke final. Ed Allred and Tom Seibly's Ten Oclock Scholar had a troubled trip when running ninth in the Ed Burke final and he figures to be a major contender in these trials. He'll have to be at his best, as he'll be going against the undefeated Check This Beduino and Kindergarten finalist Mr Premier LV. Ten Oclock Scholar and Mr Premier LV are both graduates of the 2005 Los Alamitos Equine Sale

There are three undefeated horses in the trials, including a pair owned by Dutch Masters III. Check This Beduino will represent the 2005 AQHA Champion owners and breeders in the fifth race (4th trial) and Always Jumpn in the 10th race (9th trial). Jaime Gomez co-owns Check This Beduino. Ed Allred is the owner of Abide, who ll see action in the 9th race (8th trial), and he is a winner in his only start so far this year.
