Sue and Tim Spooner's Halonator, trained by Dan Markle and ridden by Kevin Radke, won her ninth consecutive race on Monday when scoring in the second race on the Emerald Downs program. Halonator's streak of victories began on April 30, 2005 in a $4,000 conditioned claimer, and the determined daughter of Delineator hasn't been defeated since.

Halonator's most notable victory came at the end of her remarkable 2005 campaign when she won the $50,000 Belle Roberts Stakes on the Washington Cup III card. During her extraordinary run, Halonator has won races at six different distances, including a pair of victories at Monday's 6-furlong trip.

The Spooners and Markle added a second-place finish to their Memorial Day celebration when their 3-year-old filly Strawberriesinjune came home as the runner-up in the sixth race.
