LOS ANGELES, CA. - TVG, the leading horseracing and interactive wagering network, and Emerald Downs announced today that they have signed a multi-year agreement for the exclusive television and account wagering rights to Emerald Downs’ races and for source market fee payments to Emerald Downs for wagers through TVG by Washington residents. TVG received a license from the Washington Horse Racing Commission earlier in the day to become the first authorized advance deposit wagering provider in the state of Washington.

“We are extremely pleased to be working with Emerald Downs to launch TVG’s television and account wagering services in the state of Washington,” said Ryan O’Hara, President of TVG. “We are confident that TVG, with a unique combination of our services and source market fee revenue sharing program, will provide the same benefits to the Washington racing industry that we have provided in states like Kentucky, California and elsewhere. Ron Crockett and his team at Emerald have an unsurpassed dedication to the racing industry and are ideal partners to make this launch successful.”

In March of 2004, the Washington state legislature enacted a bill, which was subsequently signed into law by Governor Gary Locke on April 1, 2004, authorizing the Washington Horse Racing Commission to license advance deposit wagering companies party to an agreement with Emerald Downs to accept wagers from Washington residents.

“We reviewed all of the account wagering companies and found TVG’s package of services and economic model to be the best fit for Emerald Downs,” said Ron Crockett, President of Emerald Downs. “TVG will provide Washington racing fans with a legal, full service alternative on occasions they are not able to be at Emerald Downs in person. Our partnership also provides a method of fair compensation to the local racing industry for this activity.”

TVG is the only broadly distributed interactive sports television network that combines the excitement of live horse racing from premier U.S. racetracks and the convenience of in-home, advance deposit wagering.

TVG network programming, available nationwide on DISH Network and DIRECTV®, and on select cable systems, features live horseracing from America’s premier racetracks with commentary, interviews with the stars of the sport, in-depth race analysis, handicapping/wagering tutorials and originally produced programming for racing’s major events. Viewers in certain areas can wager interactively on the races via touch-tone telephone or online by establishing a wagering account online at www.TVGnetwork.com or by telephone at 1-888-PLAY TVG.
