Portland, OR - A group of 10 talented 3-year-old fillies have been nominated to the Oregon Oaks, to be run Saturday, April 1.

Running a distance of 1 1/16-miles for a purse of $10,000 added, the Oregon Oaks has drawn four different stakes winners from the meeting into consideration.

Cascades Express, one of three nominees offered by trainer Jonathan Nance, won the Jane Driggers Debutante on Oregon Day, December 31, 2005 with Javier Ortega aboard.

Nance also has Lawanda under consideration. She captured the January 7 Mt. St. Helens Stakes with Clark Jones.

Trainer Ben Root has two nominated to the Oaks including Fettles Klan, winner of the Mary Goldblatt Stakes on March 4 with Juan Gutierrez. He also is thinking of running Tracy's Nitemare.
