Bit O Gold named Canada Horse of Year

The Sovereign Awards have been announced and Bit O Gold now reigns as the Canada Horse of the Year. On December 15 at the Wyndham Bristol Place Hotel in Toronto, Two Bit Racing Stables four-year-old star also won Sovereign Awards for Champion Older Male and Champion Male Turf Horse.

The son of Gold Fever out of the Corporate Report mare Annasan made seven starts in 2005, garnering three wins to earn $497,256. He won the G2 (Canada) Sky Classic Handicap, the G2 (Canada) Chinese Cultural Centre Stakes, and the G3 (Canada) Dominion Day Handicap.

Bit O Gold was named the 2004 Sovereign Awards Champion Three Year Old Male, winning four time with three seconds in seven starts in that season.
