LOS ALAMITOS RACE COURSE, CYPRESS, CA.... Red-hot freshman stallion Walk Thru Fire, who was recently purchased for a seven-figure amount by Ed Allred and Mike Abraham, arrived safely at Burns Ranch earlier this week.

"He arrived in excellent shape and looking great," said Dr. Steve Burns, who operates the Menifee ranch. "He is a beautiful horse. That's the one thing that jumps out right when you see him. He is an awesome specimen. He had some fertility evaluations done before he was purchased and those results were excellent. His record is very impressive as a first year sire and we are very excited to have him at the ranch. We can't wait to go to work."

Previously owned by a partnership that included trainer Jaime Gomez, Walk Thru Fire has been the most talked about stallions in Quarter Horse racing this year thanks to a first crop featuring Kindergarten Futurity winner Gold Nugget Rd and Ed Burke Million winner Higher Fire. Prior to the purchase, Walk Thru Fire stood at Moon Lake Equine Center in Elm Grove, Louisiana and before that he called Allred's Rolling A Ranch in Atascadero, California home.
