Live horse racing begins at Wyoming Downs in Evanston on Saturday, June 25 and continues on Saturdays and Sundays through August 21. Racing will also be held Monday, July 4.

The stakes schedule opens on June 25 with the Inaugural Handicap over 6 furlongs with $3,000-added, and the Bear River Handicap over 870 yards with $2,500-added. The Wasatch Handicap will run over 300 yards on Sunday, June 26 with $2,500-added.

Additionally on opening weekend, trials will run for the Blane Schvaneveldt Futurity, the Wyoming All Breeds Futurity and Derby, and the Dusty Stimpson/Jody Behunin Memorial Derby.

Thirty-four stakes races make up the traditional stake schedule for the track, and this year an additional four AQHA MBNA Northwest Challenge races will be added to the schedule. The four Challenge races are being moved from Les Bois Park in Boise, which is not hosting their regular live race meet due to legal conflict between the lease holder and Ada County, which owns the facilities at that race park.

With the new races, Wyoming Downs will host six Challenge races this year. The track already was selected as the site for the West/Southwest Professionalís Choice Claiming Challenge on July 17 and the West/Southwest MD Barns Distance Challenge on August 14.

The following races are additional to the stakes schedule posted on the Wyoming Downs website as of mid-May:
