Winners of three of the top spring Intermountain futurities will fight it out in the $118,804 Bitterroot Futurity at Sandy Downs in Idaho Falls on June 25.

Denny and Sandy Weigt's Bannister, installed as the 5-to-2 favorite in the 350-yard race, won the $69K Beehive Futurity by daylight at Weber Downs on May 20. The undefeated Bannister is trained by Monty Arrossa and will be ridden by regular rider Tony Guymon.

Rocky Mountain Classic Futurity ($23K, Pocatello Downs) winner Long Lost Buddy has the outside #10 post for RTM Stables, Ron McKinney, and Rich Gardner. Trained by Mark Hanson and ridden by Uriel Dominguez, Long Lost Buddy is 4-to-1 on the morning line.

Another undefeated runner—XG Bar Racing's Makinproudmoves—won the $60K Dixie Downs Futurity on April 16. Jose Figueroa has the mount for trainer Josh Taylor.

Seven horses cracked the 100 Speed Index in nine trials to the Futurity held on June 11.
