Seven horses that just missed qualifying to the Wild West Futurity final will face off in the $15,000 Wild West Juvenile Stakes for 2-year-olds on Saturday night, October 24 at Los Alamitos. First post time for the nine-race card is 6:00 p.m. local time.

Johnny Trotter will be represented by the talented Bo Dash Back in the Wild West final on Sunday night, but heíll have a talented runner to root for in the Juvenile as well in the form of Famous Cartel Lady. A half sister to three-time Grade 1 winner One Famous Eagle, the Corona Cartel filly Famous Cartel Lady began her racing career with a pair of victories at Les Bois Park. She had a troubled start in the John Deere Les Bois Park Juvenile Challenge trials on July 24 and then missed qualifying to the Wild West final despite a nice beginning to her trial on October 4 at Los Alamitos.

To be ridden by Carlos Huerta for trainer Jaime Gomez, Famous Cartel Lady should be fully acclimated to life in Southern California and will now eye a return to winning ways when she starts from post number six on Saturday. Reed Piersonís Swiper B Sonic, which ran third in The Plan Handicap and fourth in the John Deere California Juvenile, is another one to watch in this race. Swiper B Sonic stumbled at the start of her Wild West trial, which hurt her chances to qualify.
