Steve Wright's Is There More set the fastest qualifying time to the $150,000 (est.) Bitterroot Futurity on Friday night, June 19, at Les Bois Park. 95 juveniles were entered for the 11 trial races.

Is There More covered 350 yards in :17.587 under Nikeela Black for trainer Monty Arrossa. It was Black's only qualifying ride and one of three qualfiers for Arrossa. Arrossa also trained Randy Young's Klas Of Reason (8th fastest, :17.788), ridden by Jesus Canales, and Denny and Sandy Weigt's First Prize Luke (10th fastest, :17.820), ridden by Oscar Cervantes.

Jockey notes: Eddie Aceves, Jesus Canales, Jesus Valenzuela, and Uriel Dominguez each rode two qualifiers. Black and Cervantes rode the other two qualifiers.

Post-position notes: Six qualifiers came from either the #4 or #3 post positions.

Trainer notes: Jim Hanson was the only other trainer with more than one qualifier, but the Moosmans—Riley and Ron— each trained one.
