A full night of Quarter Horse racing is set for Saturday evening, November 9, at Los Alamitos Race Course as part of the Bank of America Racing Challenge with 97 horses in 10 stakes races headlining the card starting at 6:00 p.m. T-Bill Stablesí Cold Cash 123 brings the 2011 world champion title and more than $1.3 million in earnings into the marquee race of the nightóthe Grade 1 $350,000 Bank of America Challenge Championship at 440 yards. A full field of 11 horses will be in action in the Bank of America Championship with the winner also earning a berth to this yearís star-studded $750,000 Champion of Champions on Saturday, December 14.

Cold Cash 123 won last yearís Grade 1 $100,000 Go Man Go Handicap at Los Alamitos and is now trying to rebound from subpar efforts in his latest two starts. Before those defeats, the long-striding 440-yard specialist raced to a neck win in the Bank of America Remington Park Challenge as the odds-on favorite to earn his berth in the Bank of America Challenge Championship.

The Sleepy Gilbreath-trained 5-year-old gelding earned his world title as a 3-year-old when he posted Grade 1 wins at 400 yards in the Rainbow Derby and the Texas Classic Derby before taking on older horses at 400 yards and winning The Championship at Sunland Park. At 440 yards, Cold Cash 123 has earned $1,047,692 with 10 wins from 14 starts. Four of those wins came in Grade 1 stakes.

Reed Pierson and Brad Stevensonís Sparky E Boy has made 27 of his 33 career starts at Los Alamitos and found success against the best horses on the grounds. Sparky E Boy was second by a short nose to Good Reason SA in the 2011 Champion of Champions and won last yearís Bank of America Los Alamitos Challenge. He has made his two latest starts for trainer Paul Jones and was second in the Bank of America Los Alamitos Challenge and then finished in a dead heat for second behind the impressive Last To Fire in the Go Man Go Handicap, his latest race.

Jones will also send out Melissa Millerís homebred Jess Featureme Quick. The 4-year-old gelding has made four starts at Los Alamitos with a win in the Bank of America Los Alamitos Challenge (G3) and a second in the Vessels Maturity. Before coming to Los Alamitos, Jess Featureme Quick raced in New Mexico. He won the Hobbs America Derby, raced to seconds in The Championship at Sunland Park and the Bank of America Sunland Park Challenge and was third in the All American Derby behind champions Ochoa and Hez Our Secret. The Bank of America Racing Challenge consists of five graded stakes races—four of them Grade 1 events—plus a $75,000 starter allowance event.

In addition, 27 runners have made the trip to Los Alamitos from all around TRJ—The Racing Journal territory. The horses who qualified in TRJ territory are listed below (go to http://www.equibase.com/static/entry/LA110913USA-EQB.html for a complete list of starters).
