Five TRJ-territory runners set to do battle in Breeders' Cup, day #2

After moderate success of the four TRJ-territory horses on the first of two days of Breeders' Cup races, five more go for the gold in five races today.

Worldly third in the Breeders' Cup Marathon
Commander eighth in the Breeders' Cup Marathon
Golden Ticket second in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile
Broadway Empire ninth in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile
Taptowne scratched from the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile

Today's entries:
Designer Legs, Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies, started her career by winning a maiden special race at Canterbury Park. In her second career race, she won the Prairie Gold Lassie at Prairie Meadows, and then straight to the big-time, lighting the board at Saratoga with a second-place finish in the Grade 2 Adirondack, earning her season-high 70 Beyer figure. She regressed slightly in Grade 1 competition in her most recent two races, at Saratoga and Keeneland. Today's race 4, #3 horse.

Chips All In, Geico Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint, hasn't run in TRJ territory since 2011, but it was an impressive start—he won Arapahoe Park's signature race, the Gold Rush Futurity! (More about Chips All in here: This season, Chips All In has won two Grade 3 races on Santa Anita's famed 6-furlong downhill course: the San Simeon on April 20 and the Eddie D on September 27. He earned his season-high 105 Beyer figure on this course in February. Today's race 7, #3 horse.

Gentlemen's Bet, Xpressbet Breeders' Cup Sprint, matched his season-high 107 Beyer figure in winning the Iowa Sprint Handicap at Prairie Meadows on June 28. Today's race 10, #3 horse.

Silver Max, Breeders' Cup Mile, snapped Wise Dan's nine-race winning streak in his most recent start, the Grade 1 Shadwell Turf Mile at Keeneland. He earned his season-high 108 Beyer figure in that race, his third win in a row and his third race in a row with increading 100+ Beyer figures. In his lone race in TRJ territory, he finished third in the Grade 3 Cornhusker Handicap at Prairie Meadows. Race 11, #3 horse.

Fort Larned, Breeders' Cup Classic, is out to defend his BC Classic title. He skipped TRJ territory this season, but used his win in the 2012 Grade 3 Cornhusker Handicap at Prairie Meadows to prep for the Classic. He earned his season-high 115 Beyer figure in the Grade 1 Stephen F. Foster Handicap at Churchill Downs. Race #12, #7 horse.
