Ready for Preakness?

Did anybody notice that all four of the superfecta finishers in the Kentucky Derby had won prestigious prep races in their previous outings? In order, it was the winners of the Santa Anita Derby, the Arkansas Derby, the Bluegrass Stakes, and the Spiral Stakes. How easy should that have been? (For a $96K payout, BTW . . . )

So why did the Managing Editor of TRJ—The Racing Journal have the Wood Memorial's second-place finisher as his top pick? Well, the Derby's just not so easy is it?

If you hit the Derby, congratulations! If you missed it, then it's time to get back even. To that end, we present Edgar Allan Roshau's Preakness Superboard, a PDF file with all of the horses, colors, odds, and pros and cons, compiled by TRJ's own Ryan Roshau. Click the following link to download the Superboard: http://www.theracingjournal.com/news/file.php?form_id=612.

Also, the "insiders" over at Horse Race Insiders have polled the media to record turf writers' 1-2-3 picks for the Preakness. Check out their selections at http://www.horseraceinsider.com/Preakness-Stakes/category/preakness-stakes-media-selections/.

And . . . good luck!
