TRJ InPrint: Chase February chills with preparations for the coming race year!

February 6, 2012     E-mail this page to a friend!

Here in TRJ territory, only a few venues host live racing in February. But look out once the warmer season comes along!

Prepare for the coming live meets and look back at the high points of 2011 with this month's issue. TRJ affiliates in South Dakota and Washington celebrated their year-end honorees and shared photos of the SDQHRA and NRQHA events. The PCQHRA honors at Los Alamitos included familiar names and impressive achievements, and the Idaho QHRA named its champions, too. We also turn the spotlight on some of the Eclipse Awards that might have missed your radar, and share a great color photo and links to award-winning writing.

Foaling season is upon us, so the February issue includes health updates on endometritis, colic in the late-term pregnant mare, and avoiding infection in the neonatal foal. And meet Matthew Woodingon, DVM, a new vet taking over Charles "Doc" Lange's longtime Treasure Valley practice.

Check our pages for stallion ads, nomination forms, and great special offers. And, as always, get news updates, race results, and stakes recaps.
