Executive Secretary of Montana BoHR placed on indefinite leave

According to a December 9 posting from Charles S. Johnson, chief of the Gazette State Bureau in Billings, Montana, the executive secretary of the Montana Board of Horse Racing has been placed on paid administrative leave by the state Livestock Department.

The posting says Ryan Sherman, executive secretary and the board's sole full-time employee, was put on indefinite leave Thursday. (The board has hired seasonal staff to help with horse races in the summer.)

According to Johnson, Christian Mackay, executive secretary of the Montana Department of Livestock, confirmed Friday that Sherman had been placed on administrative leave, but said he couldn't discuss the reasons.
