Treasure Valley Racing officials have announced that Les Bois Park will host 36 days of live racing in 2012. The calendar has been approved by the Idaho Racing Commission. Live horse racing begins on Wednesday, May 2, and runs through Idaho Cup Day, Saturday, August 11. Races will be held on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the live meet. Select live race days are slated for holidays, and special stakes races are planned for specific Fridays and Sundays. Regular posttime is 5:30 p.m. and the gates open one hour before. Afternoon racing, scheduled on five day, will have a posttime of 1:30 p.m.

"We are deeply committed to returning horseracing to its former prominence and proud of the recent success of the 15-day meet this past summer," said Jim Grigsby, a representative of the Les Bois Park Racing LLLP. "The future of horseracing is truly a partnership with the horse industry, owners and trainers, and the community."

The popular Ladies Night festivities each Wednesday mean free admission for ladies, food and drink specials, and other events. Treasure Valley Racing is also offering family-friendly food, beverage, and racing-program package at a discounted rate. Special race days and promotions for the 2012 season include Kentucky Derby Day, Preakness Stakes, Memorial Day, Belmont Stakes, Independence Day, and Idaho Cup Day.
