Challenge Championship at Emerald Downs and a stakes buffet at Elko

The field is set for the $60,000 Bank of America Emerald Championship Challenge at Emerald Downs on Sunday, September 4.

Topping the list is the 2-to-1 morning-line favorite, Bob and Scott Giltner's A Royal Dervish (#6), winner of two stakes this year at Sandy Downs and Les Bois Park. He'll have to contend with his stablemate Vodka Soda No Fruit (#5), who won stakes at Jerome and Prineville before finishing third to A Royal Dervish after a slow start on August 6.
