Fans of American Quarter Horse Racing can obtain collectible art through a fundraiser presented by Ruidoso Downs and equine artist Ginny Harding on Sunday, September 4, and Labor Day Monday, September 5, at Ruidoso Downs to benefit injured riders. This will be the third year Ginny has produced art for this worthy cause.

The first series of Ginny Harding's fine art Quarter Horse jockey cards debuted on All-American weekend in 2010, featuring active riders G.R. Carter and Cody Jensen, and legendary retired rider Jerry Nicodemus, who signed their cards onsite and raised several thousand dollars to benefit injured rider Tad Leggett.

The second series of three jockey cards, featuring legendary retired rider Danny Cardoza, world champion Ramon Sanchez, and the late Sam Thompson, were introduced in winter 2010 at Los Alamitos. The 2010 fundraiser benefited the family of fallen rider Mark Villa, who suffered a fatal accident at Zia Park last September.

The new, third series features leading rider Jacky Martin and retired greats Kenny Hart and Kip Didericksen. Both Kenny and Jacky will join riders featured in the earlier series to autograph their cards in person at 10:00 a.m. both mornings at the main entrance of Ruidoso Downs grandstand. All funds go to an injured rider. The beneficiary of this year's fundraiser will be announced at the signing.

The donation for a complete third series (all three cards) is $10.Individual cards are available for a donation of $4. For a donation of $30, you can get all three series—a total of nine personally-signed cards.

Even unsigned, these cards would be highly collectible, with a limited printing of only 1,000 cards of each image—and there are only two ways to get them: at a personal autograph session or through Harding's website: http://www.ginnyharding.com.

Over the last three decades, renowned equine artist Ginny Harding, a long-time breeder and owner of racing Quarter Horses and owner of Horse Heaven Gallery, has created images of some of the Industry's leading equine athletes and their human connections. Harding plans to display her work during the weekend of the Ruidoso Super Select Sale.
