Saturday's 10-race card at Les Bois Park features eight trials at 350 yards for the $70,000-added Bitterroot Futurity and closes with a pair of qualifiers for the $15,000-added Bitterroot Derby at 400 yards. TRJ will be on hand to see which 20 horses will make it to the finals on July 23.

Opening weekend broke all-time attendance records, which both pleased and surprised the new management team at Treasure Valley Racing. Horsemen hope the interest can be sustained this year, and built on next year.

Rupert Downs at Minidoka County Fairgrounds closes its meet with racing on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday's second race is the 350-yard AQHA Bank of America Maiden Challenge finals, where six will vie for the $7,600 purse. That same sponsor also names the final race of the day, a 400-yard Challenge Bonus race for 3-and-ups and featuring a $4,200 purse. Eight are set to go to post.

Eight juvenile Paints and Appaloosas line up for the seventh race, the $7,100 Rupert Downs Futurity, a 350-yard event.
