Ida Racing at Sandy Downs closes with a bang on Saturday, August 28. A special posttime of 2:00 p.m. will accommodate all the late-season action.

The $13,720 Bosen Derby at 400 yards is carded as the sixth race on the card. Eight 3-year-olds will compete for the rich prize—and let potential buyers see a few examples of the kind of horses available through the ongoing Bosen Production Sale, which closes on Wednesday, September 1. The seventh race is the $13,500 AQHA Red Cell Distance Challenge, contested at 870 yards. Nine distance specialists will meet to determine who gets a berth in the Challenge Championship finals this fall.

The final race on the card is the $51,000 Bosen Futurity, with 10 horses going to post for the 350-yard event. Trails determined the final field for this race, as well as for the $1,500 consolation, to be contested as the fourth race on the card.
