Fans are invited to watch and wager at IdaBet.com

History in Idaho horse racing will be made Friday night when Ida Racing at Sandy Downs puts its nationally offered live streaming video racing program along with full Internet wagering online via www.IdaBet.com.

Highlighting Friday’s program on IdaBet.com is the Idaho Cup Quarter Horse Derby, while Saturday’s program offers the Idaho Cup Quarter Horse Futurity.

“We have worked very hard to get our racing from Sandy Downs on the Internet so fans from not only the Intermountain West, but from all over the North America will have the opportunity to wager and view all the races live via video streaming,” said Hugh Mellon of IdaBet.com.

The Friday night program from Sandy Downs will be beamed live on the IdaBet home page (http://www.idabet.com), and will not require an account and login in order to see the races. Fans who want to wager on the races, as well as on races at dozens of other race tracks throughout North America, need to open an IdaBet.com account.

IdaBet.com does not charge membership fees to join or wagering surcharge fees.

An aspect of the website that is unique to IdaBet.com is that every wager made, on any track, from an Idaho resident, will be treated the same as a wager made at the track.

“Idabet.com is the only ADW based in Idaho,” Mellon continued, “and by being home-based in the state and treating every wager made from an Idaho account as a live wager, we can insure that the horsemen, breeders, the state and the schools all receive their fair share of the wagering dollar.”

IdaBet.com was specifically set-up to fund purses for live racing in Idaho and offers over 100 Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse, and Harness tracks from throughout North America.

“Sandy Downs is the only live race track in Idaho that runs more that 10 live days,” Mellon commented. “We have been able to increase live race days in Idaho Falls from eight to 17. Hopefully, next year we can run even more live days with annual wagering from IdaBet.com funding purses and breeders.”

First race both Friday and Saturday from Sandy Downs is 6 p.m.
