Hoburg looks hard to beat in $22K Pot O’ Gold Futurity

Bill Hoburg has the two fastest qualifiers entered for the final of the $22,450 Pot O’ Gold Futurity on Sunday, April 18. Karla and Warren Kimsey’s Kimz Huckleberry Hank came up the fastest from three trials on April 4, a neck ahead of the second-fastest qualifier, Shez Pretty Awesome, owned by Hoburg and Sabrina Abrahamson.

The two are installed as the top two favorites at 5-to-2 and 3-to-1, respectively. Only four horses broke the 16-second mark, and they all came from the first of the trials: Kimz Huckleberry Hank, :15.75; Shez Pretty Awesome, :15.77; Graces Blue Apollo, :15.86; and Dip In The Curve, :15.99. All four of those get return engagements from their jockeys.
