Emerald Downs Live to Carry 100 Hours of Competition Beginning April 10

Beginning on Saturday April 10, Comcast SportsNet Northwest, the region's home for comprehensive local sports coverage, will air four hours of live horse racing action from Emerald Downs in Auburn, Washington, each Saturday at 2:00 pm Pacific Time through the track's 25-week season ending on September 26.

Hosted by local racing authority Joe Withee, Emerald Downs Live will provide viewers with live track coverage, race analysis, and other program features.

"Emerald Downs Live gives us a new and exciting way to connect with area racing fans and the ability to easily reach a much larger audience," said Emerald Downs Director of Marketing Adrian Buchan. "Based on the response to our On Demand coverage, we know there is an appetite in this market for racing broadcasts."

Emerald Downs has partnered with Comcast Cable since 2006 to provide race replays free to digital subscribers via Comcast's On Demand platform.

Comcast SportsNet General Manager David Manougian said, "Emerald Downs Live is a great complement to our lineup of competition-based professional sports and outdoors programming."
