The Olympic Flame heads west!

On its journey from Greece to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, the Olympic flame is making stops along the TRJ—The Racing Journal circuit. The next stop is in on Wednesday, January 13.

On January 13 the Olympic torch will be making a short stop at the Alberta Legislature on its way through the city of Edmonton. Carried by approximately 50 torchbearers, the torch will begin its journey at 5 p.m. in Hawrelak Park, make its way across Walterdale Bridge to the Legislature Grounds and end at 7 p.m. in Churchill Square.

Festivities at the Legislature will begin at 5:45 p.m. on the Legislature steps with the torch arriving shortly after 6 p.m. For details go to www.assembly.ab.ca. Show your Olympic spirit by sporting red apparel in an effort to paint the town red!
