MTA Stallion Auction Lassie/Laddie Stakes Sunday

There’s lots going on at Canterbury Park this weekend, beginning on Saturday with a 1:30 first post. Come out to the races on Saturday, August 22, and you might drive home in a '66 Mustang Convertible. Plus, the Park is giving away over $2,500 in Kwik Trip gas & wagers. The classic car giveaway is free to enter and you must be present to win.

Following the races is a New Owners’ Seminar in the Silks Bar/Ubetcha Area. Learn what it takes to become a horse owner and get your picture in the winners' circle. Attend informational meeting and learn the ins and outs of racing from those in the business. It’s a perfect way to get started now for 2010 and experience the thrill of owning a racehorse.

The race of the day features Miss Missile, who has won four of five starts this year, taking on the boys in her 2009 turf debut.

Sunday, August 23, is Fan Appreciation Day, with a 1:30 first post and free admission for all comers. The Sunday giveaway is a 37-inch Insignia flat screen TV courtesy of the Minnesota HBPA. Enter the TV giveaway by swiping your MVP card at any contest-registration kiosk.

Two MTA Stallion Auction Stakes, each sporting a $35K purse, are on the card, one for 3YO fillies and one for 3YO colts and geldings.
