Twenty races are on tap for the opening weekend at Yellowstone Downs. First post both days is 1:30.

The feature race on Saturday is the Inaugural Handicap, sponsored by Muzzleloader Cafe and Powder Horn Casino, who add $1,000 to the purse. Prickly Pear Stables pits their Montana homebreds C C Bound and C. C. Rudy against each other in the five-horse field.

Two trials for the Diamond Classic Futurity take center stage on Sunday, where trainer Ronald Cook, Jr., looks to pack the final by qualifying his six entries. In the first trial (the fourth race on the card), Cook has Montana-bred Bearly Classic and Wyoming-breds Streaking Lowrider and Jase Racer.

Cook’s other three, in the second trial, are all Wyoming-breds—Taytaycook, Streaking Charger, and Sweet Betty Lou.
