Legislation in draft stage could hurt Montana horse racing

Montana Representative Bill McChesney is listed as “requester” of draft legislation that would take fantasy sports wagering away from horse racing interests and move it to the Department of Justice. According to Ryan Sherman, Executive Secretary at the Montana Board of Horse Racing (MBoHR), “Horse racing would receive no funding from this, as [proceeds would go] to health and Medicaid initiatives.”

Sherman promises to keep interested parties informed as changes warrant.
