If you have relationship woes with your American Quarter Horse, then the American Quarter Horse Association’s new contest, “Team Wrangler—Fix My American Quarter Horse!” might just be the ticket to getting you back on track with your equine counterpart.

The only way to enter is online, and the contest is open to people who were members as of Sunday, March 16. AQHA members can log on to and describe what part of their relationship with their American Quarter Horse needs attention in an essay of 100 words or less. The selected winner will have Team Wrangler members come to their barn for a two-day training session to help fix the problem. Plus, the winner will be featured on an upcoming episode of “AQHA Presents” on the RFD-TV network and in America’s Horse magazine. Prizes for second through 10th place winners include “AQHA’s Fundamentals of Horsemanship: Step 1” and Wrangler apparel.

The contest ends Monday, April 7, at 4 p.m. Mountain Time. Complete contest rules are available at

“This contest focuses on three important areas,” said AQHA Executive Vice President Bill Brewer. “Those are providing a benefit to membership, providing education and spotlighting the talents of the world’s best horsemen and women. We believe this will make for great television.”

“AQHA Presents” television series on RFD-TV includes educational and entertaining shows featuring top Team Wrangler members. In addition to “Fix My Horse,” other Team Wrangler shows include “What’s It Like To” where Team Wrangler members give a one-on-one lesson from their discipline, such as cutting or roping, to a member of the AQHA publications staff and “Trading Saddles” where Team Wrangler members trade places with another member of a different discipline.

“AQHA Presents” airs three times weekly—Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. (all times Mountain Time). Now available in more than 31 million homes, RFD-TV can be seen on satellite systems Dish Network (on channel 231) and DirectTV (on channel 379), as well as Mediacom, Charter, Suddenlink, Bresnan and Comcast cable systems. Team Wrangler is a joint effort of AQHA and AQHA Corporate Partner Wrangler, and is a year-long competition featuring members of the AQHA Association of Professional Horsemen representing both racing and show disciplines within the American Quarter Horse industry.
