Smarty Deb can increase her career earnings nine-fold by winning on Saturday, October 27, in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies for 2-year-old fillies going a mile and a sixteenth. The daughter of Smart Strike out of Taste The Passion (by Wild Again) is trained by Doris Harwood for owner Northwest Farms and will be ridden by Emerald Downs' record-setting jockey Ricky Frazier.

“Deb” sports a perfect 4-for-4 career record that includes three stakes wins and steady increases in purses, distances and Beyer figs. She has twice beaten the boys, most recently in the $90,000 Gottstein Futurity on September 29. All of her starts have been in The Racing Journal territory at Emerald Downs.
