Breeders' Cup Day 1: “Sue” Ready for Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint

Miss Macy Sue gets her toughest test yet on Friday, October 26, in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint for 3-year-old and older fillies and mares going 6 furlongs. The 4-year-old daughter of Trippi out of Yada Yada (by Great Above) is trained by Kelly Von Hemel for owners Roll Reroll Stables, LLC, Gessman & Acbaugh and will be ridden by Eusebio Razo, Jr. Razo has ridden Sue four times in 2007, all winning efforts.

In six races in 2007, Miss Macy Sue has won five times at four different tracks. In addition to her two stakes wins in The Racing Journal territory at Prairie Meadows, she also won at Oaklawn Park, Churchill Downs and Presque Isle Downs. Her lone loss was a fourth-place effort in a Grade II handicap at Saratoga.
